14 slots: Weapon, Off-hand, Helm, Upper Armor, Lower Armor, Gauntlets, Boots, Cape, Necklace, 2 Earrings, 2 Rings, Belt.
Gear has level and class requirements. Each class can only equip its own weapon type — Swordsman: swords, Assassin: knives/daggers, Ranger: bows, Cleric: staves, Warrior: greatswords (two-handed, no off-hand). The Adventurer (before Level 10) can use any weapon.
Drag gear from your inventory onto an equipment slot to equip it directly.
Drag equipped gear to the inventory area to unequip it.
Drag between two matching slots (e.g., Ring 1 and Ring 2) to swap them.
You can also still click to equip/unequip as before.
Normal - white (common drops)
Rare - blue (uncommon drops)
Epic - purple (rare drops / crafting)
Legend - gold (very rare / boss drops)
Genesis - teal (apex gear: Genesis weapons and off-hands from the Creation Gem forge, Abyssal gear reforged by the Tidewright)
Gareth the Blacksmith has a Craft tab next to Buy/Sell/Upgrade.
Recipes combine monster materials plus gold or Lumina into gear. Materials are drawn from your bag first, then from account Storage.
Crafted gear comes out with no sockets — you can add up to 4 afterward with Scrolls of Socket Extension. (The one exception: Void-Shard legend forges roll sockets like a monster drop — see Legend Weapon Forging.)
Use the bar at the top to filter recipes by category, class, and tier.
The Legend weapons can be FORGED from Void-Shards — a high-stakes gamble beside the boss lottery.
The void-twisted champions of the Corrupted zones (Corrupted Hollow, Blighted Reach, Defiled Sanctum, Shadowfen — Lv 35) each drop their class's Void-Shard at 2%.
Bring 100 matching shards plus 50,000 gold to Gareth the Blacksmith (Lv 28 required):
100x Void-Shard of the Swordsman -> Creator's Edge
100x Void-Shard of the Assassin -> Void Fang
100x Void-Shard of the Ranger -> Forgotten Bow
100x Void-Shard of the Cleric -> Creator's Staff
100x Void-Shard of the Warrior -> Worldrender
Each attempt has a 25% success chance. On a fail, the shards AND the gold are consumed — a warning asks you to confirm before every attempt. The result is locked in and saved BEFORE it's revealed, so you can't reload to retry.
A successful forge rolls its socket count exactly like a monster drop:
0 sockets: 50.3% | 4 sockets: 3.0%
1 socket: 25.1% | 5 sockets: 1.5%
2 sockets: 13.1% | 6 sockets: 0.7%
3 sockets: 6.0% | 7 sockets: 0.3%
Low rolls can still be extended with Scrolls of Socket Extension (up to 4).
Forged weapons BIND TO YOUR ACCOUNT the moment they are made: they can never be traded or listed on the Marketplace, but they can still move between your own characters through Storage. Copies dropped by The Forgotten One and Primordius (0.5%) stay unbound and tradeable.
Void-Shards themselves cannot be traded — every shard is earned in the hunt.
The strongest armor and accessories in Eloria are FORGED, not dropped.
The Dark Tide coast (Lv 40) is home to Abyssal Sirens, Drowned Revenants and Brinefang Stalkers. Each rarely yields its monster part — Brinefang Scales, Revenant's Emblems and the precious Siren's Pearls. Parts are tradeable on the Marketplace and are never auto-sold.
Parts also feed each coast monster's Collection (permanent account stat bonuses) — check the Monsterpedia.
Bring Nerissa the Tidewright (Eloria Village) a Legend base piece plus parts and gold, and she forges it into a Genesis-tier Abyssal piece (Lv 40):
Forgotten armor + Creator's Mantle -> the 6-piece Abyssal Set
Legend accessories -> 4 Abyssal accessories
When you forge, YOU CHOOSE which copy of the base piece Nerissa consumes — a picker lists every eligible copy in your bag with its upgrade and socket state (least valuable first). Copies with gems socketed, locked copies and bound copies are never eligible: extract gems first, they are recoverable. Whatever you pick is consumed forever, upgrades and all.
Every forging rolls sockets like the Genesis forge: most pieces come out with 0-4, rare rolls grant 5, 6 or even 7. Low rolls can still be extended with Scrolls of Socket Extension (up to 4).
IMPORTANT: Abyssal gear itself can never be traded or listed on the Marketplace — trade the monster PARTS instead. Equipping a piece binds it to your account (you'll be asked to confirm); bound or not, it can still be shared with your other characters through Storage.
Hold several copies of the same gear piece? Open Reforge from the Menu (or put it on your HUD bar with Customize HUD) and reforge them into 1 fresh copy with 4 to 7 sockets. The Reforge panel shows how many copies one Reforge takes (5 at launch).
The new piece rolls 4 to 7 sockets. Reforging always succeeds.
Works on Legend and Genesis gear only - weapons, off-hands, helms, armor, gauntlets, boots and capes. Accessories, wings and outfits never hold sockets, so they can't be reforged.
EVERYTHING on the pieces used is lost: upgrade levels, socketed gems and enchants. The new piece starts at +0 with empty sockets. Tap the copies you want to use, or press Auto-add to fill the empty slots with your least-invested copies. Reforge then asks you to Confirm, showing exactly which pieces will be destroyed.
Lock a piece in your inventory to keep it out of Reforging. Pieces that are equipped, in your warehouse or listed on the Marketplace are never used.
Genesis weapons roll a fresh innate and grade (60% Low, 30% Mid, 10% High). If any piece used was bound, the new piece is bound too.
You must be online - the server rolls the result.
Accessories hide ENCHANT LINES — bonus stats you can reroll for the perfect roll.
Open the Enchant station (the Enchant shortcut on the HUD), pick an accessory (equipped or in your bag), and spend 1 Enchantment Stone plus gold to REROLL all of its lines. Rerolling replaces every line at once, so it's a gamble — keep going until you like the result.
Enchantment Stones drop from monsters of the Cursed Caverns and beyond (Lv 14+) at the same rarity as gems, and are tradeable on the Marketplace.
How many lines an accessory can hold depends on its tier:
Rare - 1 line
Epic - 2 lines
Legend - 3 lines
Genesis - 4 lines (the Abyssal accessories)
Each line rolls a stat and a VARIANT:
General (white) - always active
PvE (teal) - only against monsters
PvP (crimson) - only in the Faction War
Specialized PvE and PvP lines roll about 25% higher than General, so a focused build hits harder in its element. Higher tiers roll bigger numbers — chase the lines that fit your build!
Visit Gareth the Blacksmith to upgrade.
Each level gives +10% stat bonus (up to +100% at +10).
Costs gold based on gear tier and current level.
You can upgrade both equipped gear and gear in your inventory — useful for pre-upgrading off-class items for Gear Collections.
A short forging animation plays while the upgrade is processed, then the result is revealed.
+0 to +1: 95% | +5 to +6: 55%
+1 to +2: 90% | +6 to +7: 45%
+2 to +3: 85% | +7 to +8: 35%
+3 to +4: 75% | +8 to +9: 25%
+4 to +5: 65% | +9 to +10: 15%
+0 to +3: Safe — nothing happens on fail.
+4 to +7: Downgrade — drops 1 level on fail.
+8 to +9: Destroy — item is destroyed on fail!
Be careful with high-level upgrades.
A warning popup will appear before attempting upgrades that risk destruction if you have no Scroll of Protection active.
When a player successfully upgrades an item to +9 or above, a global announcement is shown as a toast and posted in the global chat. Click the item name in chat to view its stats.
Prevents your equipment from being destroyed during +8 and +9 upgrade attempts. If the upgrade fails, the item stays at its current level and one scroll charge is consumed.
Stacks up to 5 charges. Buy from the Lumina Shop for 10 Lumina each.
Using one from your inventory adds a quantity stepper, so you can top off several charges at once (it never spends more than the 5-charge cap allows).
The Blacksmith's header shows a scroll icon with how many you own — click it to open the scroll's details and activate one or more charges (with a quantity stepper) without leaving the shop. If you have none, clicking it takes you straight to the Lumina Shop to buy more.
The upgrade UI shows your active protection status next to the failure risk.
Base cost by tier: Normal 100g, Rare 500g, Epic 2000g, Legend 5000g.
Multiplied by level: x1, x2, x3, x4, x5, x7, x9, x12, x15, x20.
Example: Rare +4 to +5 = 500 x 5 = 2,500g.
When viewing gear in your inventory or at the Blacksmith's shop, stats are compared against your currently equipped item in that slot.
Green numbers = better than equipped.
Red numbers = worse than equipped.
If the slot is empty, all stats show as green gains.
Accessories fill 6 slots: Necklace, 2 Earrings, 2 Rings, Belt.
Earring and Ring slots are dual — you can equip two of each.
Necklaces boost Attack (and Accuracy at higher tiers).
Earrings boost Accuracy (and Attack at higher tiers).
Rings boost Defense (and Dodge at higher tiers).
Belts boost Dodge and max carry Weight.

The core rules of gem socketing, in one place:
EXCEPTION - two-handed weapons (the Warrior's greatsword): they hold up to TWO gem types, and every gem in them counts DOUBLE on the scaling curve. One greatsword carries what other classes split across weapon + off-hand.
Socket, combine, and extract from the Sockets panel (HUD shortcut or side menu). Resetting an item destroys its gems unless you first pull the top one out with a Gem Extractor.
Weapons and armor dropped by monsters can have 1 to 7 sockets - the more sockets, the rarer the drop.
Socket gems into them to power them up.
ONE type per item: the first gem you socket locks the item to that gem. Socket a Ruby and that item only accepts Rubies after that.
The bonus scales with the NUMBER of gems socketed - each added gem is worth more than the last, with a big jump at the top end.
A gem does different things in a weapon vs. armor (see Gem Effects).
Each gem has a weapon effect and an armor effect:
Ruby - Weapon: Lifesteal | Armor: Max HP
Diamond - Weapon: Attack % | Armor: Defense %
Sapphire - Weapon: Skill Damage % | Armor: Max MP %
Topaz - Weapon: Gold Drop Find | Armor: Accuracy (gloves)
Emerald - Weapon: Crit Rate | Armor: Dodge (boots)
Opal - Weapon: Attack Speed | Armor: Move Speed
Amethyst - Weapon: Crit Damage | Armor: Status Resist (helmet)
Onyx - Shield: Block Rate | Armor: Block Pierce (gloves)
Some armor effects only fit a specific slot: Accuracy on gloves, Dodge on boots, Status Resist on helmets.
Onyx is special: it only fits shields and gloves. In a shield it raises your Block chance (base 15%, capped at 50%). In gloves it grants Block Pierce, lowering the target's Block chance by that many points - Shielded elites block 15% of your hits for half damage, so 15+ Block Pierce shuts their blocking down entirely.
Example - Ruby in a weapon (Lifesteal):
1 = 2% 2 = 3% 3 = 4% 4 = 6% 5 = 8% 6 = 12% 7 = 18%
Example - Diamond in a weapon (Attack):
1 = 5% 2 = 8% 3 = 15% 4 = 30% 5 = 75% 6 = 100% 7 = 150%
Adding each gem is a gamble at higher counts. On a fail, the gem you tried to add is lost. On a downgrade, you also lose one gem already in the item.
1st gem: 100% success
2nd gem: 95% success / 5% fail
3rd gem: 80% success / 20% fail
4th gem: 60% success / 40% fail
5th gem: 35% success / 50% fail / 15% downgrade
6th gem: 15% success / 65% fail / 20% downgrade
7th gem: 5% success / 70% fail / 25% downgrade
A Lumina Shop scroll (50 Lumina) that attempts to carve an extra socket onto a chosen gear piece - the only way to add sockets to gear that dropped with none (e.g. crafted items). Accessories and wings cannot be socketed.
Where to use: open the Sockets panel (HUD shortcut or side menu), pick the gear piece (bag or equipped) and press the blue Extend Socket button.
Max 4 sockets via the scroll. Items already at 4+ sockets cannot be extended further.
Each extra socket is harder than the last:
0 -> 1: 90% success / 10% fail
1 -> 2: 75% success / 25% fail
2 -> 3: 55% success / 45% fail
3 -> 4: 35% success / 65% fail
The scroll is consumed on every attempt, success or fail. The result is locked in and saved BEFORE it's revealed - you can't reload to retry.
A Lumina Shop consumable (50 Lumina) that prys the top gem out of a socketed item INTACT - the gem is returned to your bag instead of being destroyed.
Where to use: open the Sockets panel (HUD shortcut or side menu), pick a gear piece with at least one gem in it and press the amber Extract Top Gem button (you'll be asked to confirm).
Always succeeds; the Gem Extractor is consumed on use. The item's socket capacity is unchanged - only the topmost gem is removed (the item still keeps its locked gem color, so you can socket a fresh gem of the same type afterward).
Use it to recover a high-tier gem before resetting an item, or to undo a socketed gem you no longer want.
Each gem color comes in two grades:
Shard - a weaker socketable, about 60% of the gem's effect.
Gem - the full-strength socketable.
A shard is its own type: an item locked to shards takes only shards. Socket shards early, then graduate to gems.
Combine 3 matching Shards into 1 Gem from the Sockets panel's Combine button.
Shards and gems drop from monsters; gems can also be bought.
Resetting an item normally destroys its gems. Use a Gem Extractor (Lumina Shop, 50 Lumina) to pull the top one back out intact and re-use it - see Gem Extractor.
Socket, extract, and combine all from the Sockets panel (HUD shortcut or side menu).
