A mount carries you across the world faster than you can run.
Press the Ride button on your shortcut bar to call your mount, and press it again to step down. The button only appears once you own a mount, so there is nothing to hunt for until then.
You stay yourself while riding - your position, your collisions and everything the server sees are unchanged. The mount is something you sit on, not something you become.
The Elorian Lion moves you 60% faster (x1.6) than your normal speed.
This multiplies whatever speed you already have, so movement-speed buffs and potions still help while mounted. It also respects the same hard ceiling every other speed source does, so nothing stacks into something the world cannot keep up with.
You are put back on your feet automatically the moment you enter combat.
You cannot jump while riding, and you cannot call a mount while you are already fighting. Both limits exist because there are no mounted combat or mounted jump animations yet - riding is travel, not a way to fight.
Mounts are unlocked for your WHOLE ACCOUNT, permanently.
Buy one from the Lumina Store under the Mounts tab, then use it from your inventory. Every character you have - including ones you make later - can ride it from that moment on, and you never need bag space for it again.
The store will not let you buy a mount you already own, so there is no way to waste Lumina on a second copy.
Owning mounts pays you even when you are not riding one.
Every 5 Normal, 5 Rare and 5 Epic mounts in your stable, and EVERY Legend and Genesis mount, is a milestone. Each milestone adds a small permanent bonus to Max HP, monster EXP, monster gold and item drop chance. Milestones stack with each other AND with the bonus of the mount you have selected, and they keep paying with no mount selected at all - they reward owning, not riding.
The Mounts panel's Collection tab shows your progress per grade ("Rare 7 / 10 - milestone 1 of 2 - next at 10") and the running total the milestones are paying you.
Your stable is per character, so collection bonuses are per character too. Only mounts that have been released count.

Speed: x1.6 while riding.
Unlock: permanent for the character that acquires it. Mount collections, duplicate tokens, pity counters, and selected bonuses are character-specific.
An Early Access gift. Opening one calls ONE random Legend-grade mount token to your stable - every Legend mount in the roster has an equal chance.
Open it from your Inventory or from the Mounts panel's Cards tab. It costs no Lumina to open. The Summon cannot be bought, sold, traded or put in storage, and it stays with the character it was delivered to until it is opened.
